  2. INTRODUCTION Running nose, cough, sneezing are the normal symptoms of the common cold. They slow us down and we want them gone. In winters, we are sick ourselves, and we have to care for our kids too, so, we want to be able to get better fast. Cold remedies are almost as common as the common cold, but are they effective? Nothing can cure a cold, but there are some remedies that might help your symptoms and keep you from feeling so sick. Here's a look at some common cold remedies and they are also found in almost every home.

  3. 1. Honey Honey in tea with lemon helps in the throat pain. Honey also helps in dealing with cough problems. It has its own benefits when you take it going before sleep honey can help in pain and irritation of body and helps to sleep well. Honey also helps in making immune system strong, and you can also give it to your children, it will not harm them.

  4. 2. Chicken Soup Chicken soup also helps when you are sick! Chicken soup will helps you stay hydrated as well. People believe that chicken soup is best and comfort food that help them when they feel sick. Chicken soup helps you by improving the movement of neutropenias in your blood. Neutropenias are a type of white blood cells that help you fight infection by staying in the affected area for long. The warm chicken soup makes them move slowly in your bloodstream and even increases their concentration, thus helping in the prevention of upper respiratory problems.

  5. 3. Vitamin C Vitamin c is very good for your body as it helps in boosting your immune system. Lemon is one of the best sources of vitamin c. limes, oranges, leafy greens are some fruits and vegetables that contain vitamin c and leafy green is especially found and eat in winters in India. You can add some lemon in your daily tea with some honey because it improves your bad throat also.

  6. 4. Ginger Ginger is well known anti-bacteria food product which is used in India and other countries. It is very good for your health, and it is also effective in problems like cough, bad throat, cold, and fever as well. It also helps in reducing nausea, it is a symptom of a cold fever. You can eat some slices of ginger in small amounts or mix it with boiling water and drink it. The best option is to consume ginger juice as it gives the best possible results quickly.
