Sandwell – 2 Years ago…. • Most deprived West Midlands borough • Household Incomes less than £25,000 • All 24 wards are in worst 40% in England • 11% of the population had never worked • 27% of workforce adults with no qualifications • 46% have qualifications lower than Level 2
Sandwell now… • Most improved Metropolitan Authority • Rising residential population • Inward migration including young families • Housing renewal major investment • Town Centre regeneration underway
