In this article, we discuss the various types of tourist and business visa available for entry in Malaysia and the important information related to it.
There are two types of visa available for travel in Malaysia: eVISA: eVISA is a travel visa offered to tourists of certain countries including India. It is valid for three months from the date of issue. Here, the applicant is allowed multiple visits in Malaysia where each visit can be of maximum 30 day duration. Documents required for the application process of Malaysia visa include recent passport sized photographs, scanned copy of first and last page of your passport, confirmed return flight booking and in case of an applicant below 14 years, a copy of their birth certificate. The holder of the visa will have to apply for a new eVISA if he/she wished to exceed the duration of the stay.
eNTRI visa:eNTRI (Electronic Travel Registration and Information) is an online registration facility provided for Indian nationals. It is applicable to all Indian nationals residing in India. eNTRI is valid for 90 days from the date of issue. The applicant is eligible for a single journey stay for a maximum of 15 days. Documents required for the application process of Malaysia visa include passport sized photograph, scanned copy of first and last page of passport, confirmed return flight booking and proof of accommodation in Malaysia. • The standard processing time for both types of Malaysia visa is about 3 to 4 business days. It is advisable that the applicant to take health and travel insurance while travelling. This acts as a protection in case of any case of baggage
loss or any kind of health emergency. For longer stays, the applicant is supposed to apply at the Malaysian embassy or consulate via visa application centers.
