  1. Dry Skin • Medically known as Xeroderma or Xerosis, Dry skin,is a very common and harmless skin condition marked by an inappropriate amount of moisture and oil content in the epidermis; the top most layer of the skin. • Dry skin causes small fine flakes and dry patches. Itching is one of the most common symptoms of dry skin. • It is an uncomfortable condition marked by scaling, itching, and cracking.

  2. Causes of dry Skin • Frequent and Steamy baths. • Low temperature and humidity. • Skin diseases such as Eczema and Psoriasis. • Metabolic conditions such as Diabetes and Kidney disorders. • Certain allopathic drugs. • Dehydration caused due to alcohol consumption and excessive sweating.

  3. Symptoms • Affected skin appears dull, peeled. • Itchy and painfulskin. • Redness, itchiness and deep cracks that may bleed. • Gray ashy skin. • Fine lines or cracks. • Skin that feels and looks rough.
