  1. These Duct Tape Hacks Are Perfect For Everyday Use Every household has duct tape, but most of us probably don't realize all the ways we can use it. You can seal a leaky pipe or fix a broken window—even if you have no plans to go anywhere near a workbench—and it's useful for other things, too. Duct tape is made of a fabric-like material with plastic on both sides and a sticky adhesive inside. It's easy to tear by hand, but pulling off even just a few bits at once will make it more likely to rip, so it's smart to get it started with something like a pair of scissors or a utility knife first. We'll start with the basics: anytime you need to keep something in place, duct tape is your best option. It's also handy for keeping things together, like sealing boxes and bundling cords together (make sure you wrap each one separately for extra strength). Duct tape can help with little household mishaps, too. If you've got an object that's been damaged by water or had its paint stripped away, pick up some duct tape and cover the affected area completely to prevent further damage from the elements. Here are smarts hacks you can use duct tape in: 1)For residue: Cleaning off a sticker is annoying and time-consuming. Whether you're trying to reuse a juice bottle or get the Post-It notes off your laptop, it's a battle that never seems to end. But if you're in a pinch, don't worry—duct tape can save the day. Just grab some duct tape, place it over the sticker residue, and rub it in circles (the same way you'd buff out a scratch).

  2. The sticker will slowly lift off the surface while the adhesive remains stuck on the tape. When you're done, just peel it away and clean your glass with some window cleaner. 2)Open lids: You probably have a standard jar-opening tool at home, but you won't need it for this clever trick. With just a strip of duct tape and about 15 seconds, you'll be able to pop open any stubborn lid, including those on pickle jars, baby food jars, or medicine containers that you can't seem to get open with your hands—and you don't even have to worry about the risk of getting cut by the lid! To try this out yourself, just follow these steps: ● Wrap a strip of duct tape around the outside edge of the lid. ● Press the center down and twist in the opposite direction of where it naturally wants to go. This should loosen up the seal enough so that you can lift up the whole thing with your hands. ● Use your fingers to peel off the duct tape as you lift up the lid. 3)Pet hair: Now you can get rid of pet hair without going through the hassle of brushing or vacuuming. All you need is a roll of duct tape and a loose grip on your furniture. In fact, there are two ways to use duct tape as a pet hair remover: First, make a loop of tape around your hand. Then, swipe the sticky side of the tape against the fabric to lift any pet hair you find. The loop allows you to control where the tape goes: Wrap it around your hand several times for better maneuverability if necessary, but keep in mind that you might want to keep some slack so you can clean hard-to-reach places.

  3. By wrapping the sticky side of the tape around a paint roller handle, you can create an at-home lint roller that's actually strong enough to clean up dander from pet fur (or human hair) off clothing, couch cushions, and carpets. When using this makeshift tool, hold onto it with both hands so it doesn't become unwieldy. 4)Seal bins: Don't toss out a cracked plastic toolbox or storage bin just yet! It can be temporarily sealed with a strip of duct tape to keep it from spilling its contents. When the tape is removed, it will take most of the dirt with it and give you another few weeks to search for a replacement. The same technique can be used for small cracks in plastic outdoor furniture, covers for household appliances, and even for cracks in plastic plumbing pipes.
