Five dissimilar replacement levels 5 , 7.5 , 10 , 12.5 and 15 are selected for the study concern to replacement method with range of curing stage starting from 7 days and 28 days are considered in the present study. The water cement ratio used in this study is 0.40.The all results were compared to concrete without RHA. The compressive, split tensile and flexural strength were compared with those concrete without RHA. The results show that the rice husk ash gives the good performance on compressive, split tensile and flexural strength at the age of 28 days of curing. The results were evaluated with the concrete without RHA. The saturated water absorption results shows that the percentage of water absorption of concrete with containing 7.5 12.5 replacement of cement by RHA is decrease as compare to concrete without containing RHA. A study on pervious concrete is the balance of permeability and mechanical properties as well as durability. In this paper mainly focuses on experimental study of different replacement of cement with Popa volcanic natural pozzolan in pervious concrete. Type I Portland cement and water reducing and retarding concrete admixture were used. Mix design is based on the no slump method from the American Concrete Institute's Committee 211.3R 02. This concrete is tested for its properties, such as density, void content, water permeability and the compressive strength with various ages. There are various other parameter such as modulus of elasticity, bond strength, flexural strength, and splitting strength etc. that tend to change the mechanical properties and failure characteristics of hardened concrete, expressive in the form of deflections, ultimate load, formation of cracks and crack pattern etc. High performance concrete HPC is a specialized concrete designed to provide several benefits in the construction of concrete structures. The use of fibres in concrete has gained enormous popularity in the last decade. Studies have shown increasing evidence that the brittle behavior of HPC can be overcome by the addition of short Glass fibres of small diameter in the concrete mix. The present study aims to investigate the integration of Glass fibers with HPC of a designed mix of M60 grade of concrete. The influence of the cementations material dosage, cement ultra fine ratio, percentage of fibers, and the mixing procedures on the mechanical properties of concrete was studied by preparing several concrete mixes. Glass fibre specifically designed for use with concrete composites as admixture. Three different concentrations such as 0.75 , 1 and 1.25 of Glass Fibre by weight of cement were used. Glass fibre first dispersed in dry mix and surfactant using an ultrasonic mixer as per state of the art techniques and then combined with water and high performance concrete. The various mechanical properties like Compressive, Flexural and Split tensile strength can be improved with the addition of low concentrations of Glenium ACE 30 in high performance fiber reinforced concrete. So the researchers today are finding the way out for processing, recycling or reusing such material for some other purpose. In today scenario the constructions globally are increasing rapidly so there is a need of the construction industry to find out the cost effective materials for increasing the strength of concrete structures. Keeping this in mind the researcher has decided to study the influence of addition of waste materials like lathe waste, soft drink bottle caps, empty waste tin, waste steel powder as a mixing material with the concrete in the percentage of maximum 1 to 1.2 of total weight of concrete. All the scrap material mentioned above was collected and processed in to strips of approximately size of 15 to 25 mm. Today due to Global warming there is a need of using maximum quantity of such recyled material by which we can conserve the natural resources and reduce the amount of materials going to our landfills. Large quantities of metal waste are generated from empty metal cans and bottle caps of juices and soft drinks. This is an environmental issue as metal waste is difficult to biodegrade and involves processes either to recycle or reuse. Today the construction industry is in need of finding effective materials for increasing the strength of concrete structures with low cost, and with less environmental damage. In this study the researcher has tried his level best for the positive results by using the waste or scraped metal material as a partial substitute for coarse aggregate with the help of orange leaves powder as a plasticizer. The parameters like slump, demoulded density, split tensile strength, compressive strength, flexural strength properties at different percentages replacement of coarse aggregate with waste bottle caps were investigated in the laboratory. In this investigation, after conducting certain laboratory tests the researcher has done the comparison between plain cement concrete and the metal fiber reinforced cement concrete in various proportions by weight. The metal fibers used in this study were irregular in shape and varying aspect ratio. Analytical comparison of both the samples was done for the parameters like compressive strength, tensile strength and flexural strength. After the completion of 28 days the strength of metal fiber reinforced material concrete was found increased when compared with the strength of plain cement concrete. The prime objective of this study is to design, analyze and optimize the silica fume blended concrete using Statistical Mixture Experiment and to explore the practicability of Statistical mixture experiment in mix design of concrete containing the several components. The traditional mix design methods have drawbacks. Traditional method of mix design of concrete fails in designing the complex concrete mixture containing the cementitious materials, pozzolanic materials and several admixtures. Traditional methods are based on trial and error method in which effect of only one component can be determined. Trial and error does not provide the whole picture of concrete mixture. In this study, the statistical mixture design method is employed to analyze the effects of silica fume on 28 days compressive strength of concrete and to design and optimize the silica fume blended concrete. The components of concrete mixture are Cement, silica fume, water and aggregate. Total of 15 runs or design points are generated which are combinations of proportions and laboratory experiment is carried out on these design points and 28 days compressive strength is measured. Mathematical relationship is established between 28 days compressive strength and proportions of components using least square technique and then mathematical model is studied to analyze the effects of silica fume in concrete. In this analysis, the study focuses on the replacing the coarse aggregate partially with recycled rubber tyre employment in the construction of concrete along with use of waste tyre that were obtained regionally. In this study, various tests were applied on the raw materials to investigate their suitableness and properties for this experimentation study. To prepare the specimen, the coarse aggregates is used with different proportion replacement of 10, 25, and 50 for exploiting the mixture of rubber. Furthermore, to perform a comparative analysis, a bearing is developed without any coarse mixture replacement. The samples that were prepared includes beams, cylinders and cubes. After that these concrete samples were tested in the laboratory. The various tests that were performed are as flexural strength, impact resistance, lastingness, compressive strength, unit weight, and slump tests. These laboratory tests that were performed on the specimen were primarily supported by the information assortment. Results of these tests were then compared with the various concrete properties and it was observed that the concrete's compressive strength is decreased due to the presence of rubber aggregates. Although, due to this reason there are chances that it cannot be used in some structural applications. Also, along with the decreased compressive strength it has some important characteristics such as increased flexural strength, increased plasticity, higher impact resistance, and lower density. It is shown from the results that recycled rubber tyres can be used in the construction of concrete as coarse aggregates partial replacement. To Study the Properties of Concrete with Partial Replacement of Fine Aggregates through Copper Slag and Coarse Aggregate

Natural resources are depleting worldwide while at the same time the generated wastes from the industry are increasing substantially. The sustainable development for construction involves the use of nonconventional and innovative materials, and recycling of waste materials in order to compensate the lack of natural resources and to find alternative ways conserving the environment. So, this paper presents the results of an experimental investigation carried out to evaluate the mechanical properties of concrete mixtures in which fine aggregate sand was replaced with Copper Slag. The fine aggregates sand was replaced with percentages 0 for the control mixture , 10 , 20 , 30 , 40 , 50 , 60 , 80 , and 100 of Copper Slag by weight. Tests were performed for properties of fresh concrete and Hardened Concrete. Compressive strength and Flexural strength were determined at 7, 28 and 56days. The results indicate that workability increases with increase in Copper Slag percentage. Test results indicate significant improvement in the strength properties of plain concrete by the inclusion of up to 80 Copper slag as replacement of fine aggregate sand , and can be effectively used in structural concrete. Experimental Investigation of Properties of Concrete with Partial Replacement of Fine Aggregates through Copper Slag and

Natural resources are depleting worldwide while at the same time the generated wastes from the industry are increasing substantially. The sustainable development for construction involves the use of nonconventional and innovative materials, and recycling of waste materials in order to compensate the lack of natural resources and to find alternative ways conserving the environment. So, this paper presents the results of an experimental investigation carried out to evaluate the mechanical properties of concrete mixtures in which fine aggregate sand was replaced with Copper Slag. The fine aggregates sand was replaced with percentages 0 for the control mixture , 10 , 20 , 30 , 40 , 50 , 60 , 80 , and 100 of Copper Slag by weight. Tests were performed for properties of fresh concrete and Hardened Concrete. Compressive strength and Flexural strength were determined at 7, 28 and 56days. The results indicate that workability increases with increase in Copper Slag percentage. Test results indicate significant improvement in the strength properties of plain concrete by the inclusion of up to 80 Copper slag as replacement of fine aggregate sand , and can be effectively used in structural concrete. Concrete as a construction material is in use for several decades. Concrete can withstand the severest environments and engineers are constantly trying to enhance the performance with the aid of modern admixtures as well as waste materials which may or may not have the cementious properties. If the waste material is used in concrete, it will help in consumption of waste material along with the enhancement in the properties of concrete in new as well as hydrated states. Civil structures are designed considering the goal compressive 1strength of the concrete. Although, rare other parameters such as workability, water to 1cement ratio, setting time of cement along with surface hardness influence the performance of concrete. Series of experiments had been performed in this current study for a comparison of the usage of Glass Waste and Steel Waste as a replacement of sand in various different proportions. In this Study, Blended cement which was a mixture of Portland cement with Fly ash in 1 0.5 and 1 1 proportion was used. Concrete mixes are modified by 10 , 15 , 20 and 25 of Glass Waste and Steel Waste in replacement. The main conclusions drawn was that the compressive strength increases with the inclusion of Glass Waste upto a certain proportions and then reduces the strength. Analysis of Characteristics Behaviour use of Locally Materials in Highway Subgrade

Concrete is strong in compression but weak in tension and brittle also. Cracks also start forming as soon as the concrete is placed. These above said drawbacks don't permit the use of normal concrete in pavements as they lead to a lack of ductility along with fracture and failure. These weaknesses in concrete can be mitigated by using fibers as reinforcement in the concrete mix. Waste materials in the form of polyethylene and tires cause environmental pollution which leads to various health problems. Polyethylene and waste tires can be reused and used efficiently in the concrete as reinforcement in the fiber form. Polyethylene is a synthetic hydrocarbon polymer which can improve the ductility, strength, shrinkage characteristics. This study deals with the effects of addition of polyethylene fiber on the properties of concrete. In this study, Polyethylene and tire fibers were cut into the size of 25mm x 8mm and they were used 1.5 each by volume. Grades of concrete used were M 30, M 35 and M 40. IRC 44 2008 was followed for the design of concrete mix. In this study, the results of the strength properties of Polyethylene fiber reinforced concrete have been presented. Four point bending and double shear test were performed in the laboratory for flexure and shear strength determinations. There was seen an increase of 18 in the 28 day compressive strength along with an increase of 39 in flexure Strenght and 32 in shear strength. It is also found that 22 reduction in the four point bending test and 36 reduction in deflection by double shear tests were initiated out from the experiments. Theoretical analysis of deflection was carried out with the help of energy methods. Practical values were verified with the theoretical values within the allowable limits. Finally, it is concluded that polyethylene and tire used efficiently in reinforced cement concrete.
