  1. How to Deal with Rejection like a Fighter Rejection is painful, whether it happens at home, work, school, college or in relationships. The key lies in overcoming the rejection blues. Thomas, Salzano, a New Jersey-based photographer, hairstylist, traveler, guitarist, and a blogger shares a list of few ideas that can help you to deal with rejection in a mature and better way. Here’s what he has to say: Respect other’s decisions The biggest reality you need to know is that the people who reject you don’t owe you a “why”. They already made their decision and you have to respect it no matter how tough is it for you emotionally. Talk to people who have similar experiences Look, you are not the only person in this world who has ever dealt with rejection. Talk to a friend, family member or someone else and see what these people have suffered. Their experiences will make you feel better and connected as you are not alone who is going through a low phase.

  2. Always believe “Rejection will lead you towards something better” No one knows where one closed door could lead. Christy O’Shoney, who is a writer and a creative consultant once said: “The reason that rejection feels so personal is because it stands against our expectations. On some level, we feel that we know exactly what we need to succeed and be happy in this world, and when that desire isn’t met, it can be crushing. But what we often fail to realize is that there is a world out there with a multitude of possibilities."

  3. Take a break Give yourself a break from the dating scene or from the job search. Just breathe and focus on other things. Find other enriching experiences such as spending quality time with friends and family, reading a book or a short trip to the place you love.

  4. Be kind to yourself and others too “Me time” is very important when you are dealing with rejection. Do something that you love; buy yourself a gift, get a manicure or pedicure. Enjoy your own company and multiply self-love.

  5. Conclusion In both professional and personal lives, rejection surrounds you many times. But it ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward (By Sylvester Stallone- Rocky Balboa). Hope you like the blog by Thomas Salzano who is a New Jersey-based guitarist, photographer, traveler, hairstylist, and a blogger.
