  1. Treatment for Diabetic Retinopathy Welcome to the treatment for diabetic retinopathy blog! This blog will tell you about Diabetic Retinopathy and its treatment. First, let’s understand what diabetic retinopathy is. Diabetic retinopathy is an eye problem seen in diabetic patients. This problem occurs when the blood sugar level of diabetic patients is high. Simply put, ‘diabetic retinopathy’ is a condition that affects the blood vessels of the retina, the light-sensitive tissue inside the eye. High blood pressure is the main cause of diabetic retinopathy. This is caused by chronically high blood sugar levels. It causes damage to the retinal blood vessels. Other contributing factors include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and a long history of diabetes. Among other causes, genetics and smoking also increase the risk of developing retinopathy. Diabetic retinopathy progresses through four main stages. These include background retinopathy, macular edema, pre-proliferative retinopathy, and proliferative retinopathy. Blurred vision, floaters, difficulty seeing at night, impaired color vision, fluctuating vision, and vision loss are the symptoms of diabetic retinopathy. Ayurvedic oral medicines are available in our Vedicmed to promote eye health and solve various eye-related problems, especially ‘Diabetic Retinopathy’. 1. Some oral medications are prescribed in Vedicmed using specific herbs. These medicines contribute to blood circulation. And provides the necessary nutrients and oxygen to the tissues of the eye. 2. Some herbal medicines that support the health of the optic nerve and retina are also prescribed. Some herbs have anti-inflammatory properties. Such herbal medicines help protect the eyes from oxidative damage and competently strengthen the layer of the retina. 3. Ayurvedic treatments prescribed at Vedicmed are aimed at increasing microcirculation in the eyes. And this ensures that even the smallest blood vessels receive sufficient blood flow. 4. Ayurvedic medicines address allergic eye conditions, such as those associated with diabetic retinopathy. And it’s meant to reduce inflammation.

  2. 5. Ayurvedic treatments include specific dietary guidelines and herbal remedies to help absorb fluid in the macular area. 6.
