NKJV READ: JOB 26:12-13 12 He stirs up the sea with His power And by His understanding He breaks up the storm. 13 By His Spirit He adorned the heavens. His hand pierced the fleeing serpent. NKJV

READ: JOB 41:14-17 14 Who can open the doors of his face, With his terrible teeth all around? 15 His rows of scales are his pride, Shut up tightly as with a seal; 16 One is so near another That no air can come between them; 17 They are joined one to another, They stick together and cannot be parted. You broke the heads of the sea serpents in the waters. 14 You broke the heads of Leviathan in pieces, And gave him as food to the people inhabiting the wilderness. The earth is full of Your possessions — 25 This great and wide sea, In which are innumerable teeming things, Living things both small and great. 26 There the ships sail about; There is that Leviathan Which You have made to play there. I have made it for myself.” 4 “But I will put hooks in your jaws And cause the fish of your rivers to stick to your scales. I will bring you up out of the midst of your rivers And all the fish in your rivers will stick to your scales.” READ: EZEKIEL 32:2 2 Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt and say to him: “You are like a young lion among the nations. And You are like a monster in the seas, Bursting forth in your rivers, Troubling the waters with your feet And fouling their rivers.” NKJV

READ: REVELATION 12:3-9 3 Another sign appeared in heaven: Behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. 4 His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. The dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. 5 She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. Her Child was caught up to God and His throne. 6 The woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days. 7 War broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought, 8 But they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. 9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world. He was cast to the earth and his angels were cast out with him. NKJV

And I will punish you yet seven times for your sins. 25 I will bring a sword against you that will execute the vengeance of the covenant. When you are gathered together within your cities I will send pestilence among you. And you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. NKJV READ: DEUTERONOMY 32:41 41 If I whet My glittering sword And My hand takes hold on judgment, I will render vengeance to My enemies And repay those who hate Me. NKJV

READ: EZEKIEL 21:1-5 1 The word of the LORD came to me, saying, 2 Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem, preach against the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel 3 Say to the land of Israel, “Thus says the LORD: Behold, I am against you. I will draw My sword out of its sheath and cut off both righteous and wicked from you.” 4 “Because I will cut off both righteous and wicked from you, therefore My sword shall go out of its sheath against all flesh from south to north,” 5 “That all flesh may know that I, the LORD, have drawn My sword out of its sheath. It shall not return anymore.” NKJV

QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 27:2-5 THE RESTORATION OF ISRAEL 2 In that day sing to her, "A vineyard of red wine! 3 I, the LORD, keep it, I water it every moment; Lest any hurt it, I keep it night and day. WHAT IS THIS VINEYARD? READ: PSALMS 80:8-11 8 You have brought a vine out of Egypt. You have cast out the nations and planted it. 9 You prepared room for it And caused it to take deep root. And it filled the land. NKJV READ: JEREMIAH 2:21 21 I planted you a noble vine, a seed of highest quality. How then have you turned before Me Into the degenerate plant of an alien vine? NKJV

READ: ISAIAH 5:1-7 1 Let me sing to my Well-beloved A song of my Beloved regarding His vineyard: My Well-beloved has a vineyard On a very fruitful hill. 2 He dug it up and cleared out its stones And He planted it with the choicest vine. He built a tower in its midst And made a winepress in it. He expected it to bring forth good grapes But it brought forth wild grapes. 3 O inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, Judge, please, between Me and My vineyard. 4 What more could have been done to My vineyard That I have not done in it? Why then, When I expected it to bring forth good grapes, Did it bring forth wild grapes?

READ: ISAIAH 5:1-7 5 Please let Me tell you what I will do to My vineyard: I will take away its hedge and it shall be burned. I will break down its wall and it shall be trampled down. 6 I will lay it waste. It shall not be pruned or dug. But There shall come up briers and thorns. I will also command the clouds That they rain no rain on it. 7 The vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel And the men of Judah are His pleasant plant. He looked for justice but behold, oppression. He looked for righteousness, but behold, a cry for help. NKJV

READ: 2 SAMUEL 23:6-7 6 The sons of rebellion shall all be as thorns thrust away, Because they cannot be taken with hands. 7 The man who touches them Must be armed with iron and the shaft of a spear. And they shall be utterly burned with fire in their place. NKJV

READ: ISAIAH 9:18-19 18 Wickedness burns as the fire. It shall devour the briers and thorns And kindle in the thickets of the forest. They shall mount up like rising smoke. 19 Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts the land is burned up And the people shall be as fuel for the fire. No man shall spare his brother. NKJV READ: ISAIAH 10:17 17 The Light of Israel will be for a fire, And his Holy One for a flame. It will burn and devour His thorns and his briers in one day. NKJV

  21. QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 27:2-5 WHO IS KEEPING THIS VINEYARD? THE LORD? WHAT DO THE THORNS & BRIERS REPRESENT? WHAT WILL HE DO WITH THE BRIERS & THORNS? READ: MATTHEW 3:12 12 His winnowing fan is in His hand. He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor and gather His wheat into the barn. But He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. NKJV READ: HEBREWS 6:7-8 7 The earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God 8 But if it bears thorns and briers, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned. NKJV

WHAT WILL THEY TAKE HOLD OF? WHAT DID ADONIJAH TAKE HOLD OF? WHY? READ: 1 KINGS 1:50-51 50 Adonijah was afraid of Solomon. So he arose and went and took hold of the horns of the altar. 51 It was told Solomon, saying, “Indeed Adonijah is afraid of King Solomon. Look, he has taken hold of the horns of the altar, saying, ‘Let King Solomon swear to me today that he will not put his servant to death with the sword.’” (1 KINGS 2:28-29)

READ: EXODUS 21:12-14 12 He who strikes a man so that he dies shall surely be put to death. 13 However, If he did not lie in wait. But God delivered him into his hand Then I will appoint for you a place where he may flee. 14 But If a man acts with premeditation against his neighbor, to kill him by treachery, You shall take him from My altar, That he may die. NKJV

READ: PSALMS 119:165-168 165 Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble. 166 LORD, I hope for Your salvation, And I do Your commandments. 167 My soul keeps Your testimonies, And I love them exceedingly. 168 I keep Your precepts and Your testimonies, For all my ways are before You. To Him men shall come, And all shall be ashamed Who are incensed against Him.” 25 “In the LORD all the descendants of IsraelShall be justified and shall glory.” NKJV

READ: ROMANS 5:1-5 1 Having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 Through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 And perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. READ: 2 CORINTHIANS 5:20-21 20 We are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. READ: EPHESIANS 2:14-16 14 He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15 Having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, 16 And that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. THE HOUSE OF JUDAH? READ: 2 KINGS 19:30-31 30 The remnant who have escaped of the house of JudahShall again take root downward and bear fruit upward. 31 For out of Jerusalem shall go a remnant and those who escape from Mount Zion. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.

READ: PSALMS 72:16-17 16 There will be an abundance of grain in the earth, On the top of the mountains. Its fruit shall wave like Lebanon. And those of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth. 17 His name shall endure forever. His name shall continue as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed in Him. All nations shall call Him blessed. NKJV READ: PSALMS 92:13-15 13 Those who are planted in the house of the LORD Shall flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They shall still bear fruit in old age. They shall be fresh and flourishing, 15 To declare that the LORD is upright. He is my rock and there is no unrighteousness in Him. NKJV

READ: EZEKIEL 17:22-24 22 Thus says the Lord GOD: “I will take one of the highest branches of the high cedar and set it out. I will crop off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one. I will plant it on a high and prominent mountain.” 23 “On the mountain height of Israel I will plant it. And it will bring forth boughs, bear fruit, and be a majestic cedar. Under it will dwell birds of every sort. In the shadow of its branches they will dwell.” 24 “All the trees of the field shall know that I, the LORD, have brought down the high tree and exalted the low tree, dried up the green tree and made the dry tree flourish. I, the LORD, have spoken and have done it.”

READ: EZEKIEL 36:6-10 6 Prophesy concerning the land of Israel and say to the mountains, the hills, the rivers and the valleys, “Thus says the Lord GOD: ‘Behold, I have spoken in My jealousy and My fury, Because you have borne the shame of the nations.’” 7 “Thus says the Lord GOD: ‘I have raised My hand in an oath that surely the nationsthat are around you shall bear their own shame.’” 8 ‘’But You, O mountains of Israel, You shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to My people Israel, For They are about to come.’” 9 “’For Indeed I am for you and I will turn to you. And You shall be tilled and sown.’” 10 ‘”I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, all of it. And the cities shall be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt.’” NKJV

Or has He been slain according to the slaughter of those who were slain by Him? 8 In measure, by sending it away, You contended with it. He removes it by His rough wind In the day of the east wind. 9 Therefore by this the iniquity of Jacob will be covered; And this is all the fruit of taking away his sin: When he makes all the stones of the altar Like chalkstones that are beaten to dust, Wooden images and incense altars shall not stand.

HOW DOES THE LORD CORRECT HIS PEOPLE? WHY? CAN ONE CONTEND WITH THE LORD? WHAT IS THIS ‘EAST WIND’? HOW WILL THE INIQUITY OF JACOB BE COVERED? WHAT WILL THE LORD TAKE AWAY?

Or has He been slain according to the slaughter of those who were slain by Him? 8 In measure, by sending it away, You contended with it. He removes it by His rough wind In the day of the east wind. HOW DOES THE LORD CORRECT HIS PEOPLE? READ: PSALMS 6:1 1 O LORD, do not rebuke me in Your anger, Nor chasten me in Your hot displeasure. NKJV READ: JEREMIAH 10:24 24 O LORD, correct me, but with justice. Not in Your anger, lest You bring me to nothing. WHY DOES THE LORD CORRECT HIS PEOPLE? READ: PROVERBS 25:4-5 4 Take away the dross from silver And it will go to the silversmith for jewelry. 5 Take away the wicked from before the king. And his throne will be established in righteousness. NKJV

CAN ONE CONTEND (REASON) WITH THE LORD? READ: JOB 23:6-7 6 Would He contend with me in His great power? No! But He would take note of me. 7 There the upright could reason with Him. And I would be delivered forever from my Judge. NKJV

Though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered you, Yet I will not make a complete end of you. But I will correct you in justice And I Will not let you go altogether unpunished.” NKJV READ: JEREMIAH 46:28 28 “Do not fear, O Jacob My servant,” says the LORD, “For I am with you. I will make a complete end of all the nations To which I have driven you, But I will not make a complete end of you. I will rightly correct you, For I will not leave you wholly unpunished.” NKJV
