Admission Requirements • Either SAT or ACT (Although UC doesn’t require SAT subject tests anymore, but certain programs in the schools recommend you take them) • -total SAT: 1923 average • -ACT: 27 average • A-G requirements • GPA minimum of 3.0 or higher (3.4 for non- California resident students) • -average high school grade point average of applicants admitted is 4.07.

Housing • -8 Resident halls: singles.. double.. triple (About 5000 spaces available) • Residential halls are available to everybody all 4 years. • Freshmen are required to live on campus. • undergraduate apartments: Approximately 290 furnished apartments for single (unmarried) full-time UCSB students. All apartments have shared bedrooms and are rented on an academic year basis (9-months) (usually for juniors and seniors) • MEAL PLANS • -19 meals = A “Premiere” meal plan for maximum flexibility; recommended for incoming students • -14 meals = A “Sustenance” meal plan that meets most residents' needs • -10 Meals = An “Alternative” meal plan that allows residents to purchase meals elsewhere on and off campus • -"Board Dollars" • -There is also the alternative to not having a food plan. Only students living in residential halls and in the Apartments are required to buy meal plans.

  9. Facilities • Usual facilities • UCSB Faculty club, MAC building (ice hockey, rock wall), The Pit, Storke Field, Recreation Center, racquet ball court.

  10. Activities • there is over 400 organizations/ clubs (Ice Hockey club, Ice skating club, Water polo for women, Inter-Greek Council, Campus Democrats, Cooking Class, etc.) • 18 intramural sports: Badminton, Basketball, Bowling, Racquetball, Roller Hockey, Soccer, Squash, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Flag football, Golf, Inner-tube Water Polo, Sand Volleyball, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, Ultimate, Water Polo. • Men sports: Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Golf, Soccer, Swimming & Diving, Tennis, Track & Field, Volleyball, Water Polo • Women sports: Basketball, Cross Country, Indoor Track, Soccer, Softball, Swimming & Driving, Tennis, Track & Field, Volleyball, Water Polo.

  11. Campus Visits • Walk with a current student or UCSB alumnus on a 75-90 minute campus tour. Stops include the largest lecture hall, the library, and the University Center. • The visits have to re reserved. • Monday- Friday (except major holidays) Visits on Saturdays, Sunday's or Holidays there is self-guided maps and you can tour the campus on your own.

  12. Academics • Psychology is offered, Science is offered. • More than 200 majors, degrees, and credentials are offered through UCSB's five schools and the Graduate Division. • 17:1 student to staff ratio.
