IFS Program Overview • Use civilian flight schools to introduce prospective aviators to flying. • Screen prospective Naval Aviators and Flight Officers for the skills and attributes necessary to successfully complete Navy primary flight training. • Provide 25 hours of civilian aviation flight and associated ground training prior to beginning the Naval Aviation training pipeline at DoN expense.
