CONFLICT • This is happening all over the world. • What is happening is that water bottles are polluting the oceans and making mountains of bottles on land. • Animals are affected on and off land including humans. It affects animals by the bottles getting stuck on them or they are eating the pieces of plastic.

  3. AFFECTS FROM BOTTLES • 22 billion plastic bottles are thrown away each year if you recycled that it would turn out to be 110 billion dollars. • Plastic bottles can potentially release toxic chemicals into the ocean.

VOCAB/TERMS • Fresh water- Is affected by plastic bottles because 2 gallons of water is wasted in the making of one gallon. • Current- Makes it worse because is carries the bottles to other places. • Tide- Pushes the bottles on to the land. • Climate- Bottles affect this because the ships gas that take the bottle release the exhaust into the air. • Sewage- Bottles affect the sewage by clogging them. • Landfills- The bottles fill them up way to fast • Land recourses- The ships and cars gases that transport them affect the air and recourses. • Are health- Because BPA has been found in the bottles when warmed. • Global warming- Because the gas from the cars transporting them affect the ozone lair. • Soil- Because when they decompose the plastic bottles affect the soil.

  5. solution • What you as an individual can do alone can do is use reusable ones or a Brita filter. • A larger group of people can ban plastic bottles from there block or community. • The companies can try and stop them.
