Why do you find them unique? • Against each item you have listed, compare it to you own culture. • Do the two differ or are somewhat similar? How so? • What is the one word that would best describe the Nacirema culture?

  2. Ethnocentrism - using our own culture to judge others. • Cultural Relativism -- appreciating other peoples’ way of life (culture) without judging them as superior or inferior to your own.
