So what are we trying to do here today • Explore complex and challenging topics • That affect all stakeholder groups present today • Within a workable structure (6 challenges/opportunities) • The 6 C4C challenges & MAW report • Build prospective projects together • Facilitate and feedback to everyone • Hopefully start some great joint working • Or other forms of collaboration

Preparation – where we’ve been • Kicked off as an EAHSN project in 2013 • Initial C4C = Rachel Webb Seconded for 4 months • EAHSN Medicines Adherence and Waste Report • Launched end of June • Six Calls for Collaboration (Jun) • Company EoIs and JW intro (Aug) • Today we begin the Seven Steps • … and look to help facilitate local projects

  7. What the ABPI recommends – 7 Steps

  8. What’s this “Idea Generation”? At this stage the partners involved, often healthcare professionals and industry representatives, brainstorm ideas that will help improve patient care. These projects are often identified by [input] which highlights an area of proven patient need.

  9. Expectations – Rome wasn’t built in a day • Chance to brainstorm, to look for commonalities and to understand the needs and interests of others. • JW the objective, but other collaboration possible • ‘Collaborative’ working • MEGs • MAW = common language • Support for next steps from us

The workshops: the choreography • One workshop for each challenge (see agenda) • Conversations facilitated so they keep to the subject • Workshop = 30 minutes • 5 Minutes = Introduction to topic • 10 Minutes = NHS translates to local needs • 10 Minutes = companies respond and suggest ideas? • N.B. Preference to companies who EoI • 5 Minutes = Facilitators sum up discussions
