  1. Understanding the Differences Between SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer and SAP CRM could make or Break Your Project If your SAP Brim Solutions Hybris Cloud for Customer project team looks like the image above, you're in trouble. Let me explain. SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer (C4C) is a cloud-based CRM solution from SAP. This is not, I repeat, this is not SAP CRM in the cloud. Differences are important, and understanding them can mean the difference between project success and project failure. When you purchase a C4C subscription, whether you know it or not, you receive SAP's marketing, sales and service best practices. The system is mostly pre-configured and you can change the behavior of the system to some extent through configuration. Also, although extensions are possible via Cloud Application Studio (SDK), they are limited compared to what is possible with on-premises SAP CRM products.

  2. This is not a product review, I am a big fan of C4C. However, I'm disappointed to see a project that: Resources are maintained and managed on site like a traditional SAP CRM project Get Started with the Blue Sky Design Workshop (it's too late for that!) They are based on assumptions made by SI and customers about C4C capabilities based on their knowledge and experience in SAP CRM. Each of the above points on its own has the potential to be a project killer. A successful project is one that both the SI and the customer understand. I have a special bee on my cover about the way the SAP C4C project is currently being funded - hence the image at the top of this blog. We have just completed the successful launch of SAP C4C with SAP America as a global retailer. This project was deployed with just two SAP C4C Functional Consultants, integration resources, and a few developers. Perfect resource. For comparison: Earlier this year we were involved in an SI Level 1 project for a UK company with 6 SAP C4C Functional Consultants. I recently heard about a project with more than 10 SAP C4C Functional Consultants. These are the various functional resources for the on-premises SAP CRM project, not to mention the SAP C4C project. What did they do? How many SAP C4C functional consultants are needed to replace a light bulb? If you are new to SAP C4C, I understand that my message may not convince you. Therefore, I will illustrate my point of view by showing you the basic SAP C4C configuration options with respect to the feature. However, ACI InfoTech is leading company for sap brim practice & SAP Brim solutions.
