Innovations in Traffic Safety and Management: An Overview of Recent Danish Projects

This overview highlights key projects in traffic safety and management led by Svend Tøfting, Chairman of ITS Denmark. It includes significant initiatives focused on young driver safety, such as the "INFATI" project in Aalborg (2001) testing 24 drivers over six weeks, and the "Traffic Safe Young Car Drivers" project (2005-2008) involving 300 young drivers from North Jutland. Additionally, we discuss technological advancements in public transport, road pricing, and the national ITS strategy aimed at improving traffic flow and safety.
