  3. RANJIT THAMBYRAJAH Founder and managing director Ranjit started his ?nance career at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in 1979. After realising that he was born to be self-employed, Ranjit began investing in property and in 1981 became the managing director of a Sydney real estate group. In 1984 he purchased his ?rst nursing home and within a few years had expanded the business with the acquisition of ?ve additional facilities. During this time he established himself as a commercial ?nance broker and began helping other entrepreneurs restructure their businesses.
