  1. The digestive and urinary system By: The Whiz Kids!(NOT THE POOP GROUP!) Otherwise known as Jack M., Aarush, Margret, and Morgan

  2. The main job of the digestive and urinary systems. Urinary The main job of the urinary system is to turn water and waste from the blood into urine, and get rid of it. Digestive The main job of the digestive system is to digest food to give you energy and to get rid of waste/feces/poop whatever you want to call it.

  3. THE MOUTH The main job of your mouth is to break down food and push the food to your esophagus. While you chew your food, saliva starts chemical reactions, and starch in your food turns to sugar.

  4. THE LARGE INTESTHELARGE INTESTINE! The food that your body can not use is pushed into the large intestine. It is bigger and drier than the small intestine. The food in your large intestine gets smaller and smaller as it travels through the tube. The large intestine takes out and recycles your extra water. When the food leaves your body, it is 1/3 of the size it was when it first came to your large intestine

  5. Bladder! Bathrooms favorite friend! Bladder acts like a stretchy pouch to hold urine. When it is to full, it sends a message to the brain and you feel an urge to go to the bathroom. Muscles squeeze to make you pee. The Bladder stores urine.

  6. LIVER Millions of tiny pieces of food exit the small intestine. They travel into the Portel Vein and the liver in the blood. It stores some food, but mostly fat, sugar, and protein into the bloodstream. It supplies the rest of our body. It makes billet to help the digestive system. It’s located in the upper abdomen, to the right of the stomach, below the diaphragm

  7. Kidney Each kidney has millions of urine making units known as nephrons that filter the blood that flows the kidney. Urine is carried by 2 thin tubs called ureters. The urine is taken to the bladder. The urine is released through a tube called urethra. .

  8. SmallIntestine The small intestine is filled with villi (finger like cactuses). The villi absorbs nutrients from food that you eat. The nutrients flow into your blood stream. The small intestine also breaks food down into fats, proteins, and sugar. The parts of the small intestine are, duodenum, jejunum, and ileum.

  9. esophagus This could be called a gullet. It is ten inches long. Its job is to pass food from the mouth to the the stomach. The strong muscles push down he food. The esophagus connects to the throat and mouth to the stomach.

  10. RECTUM!  In the rectum, your food turns to feces ( POOP). The rectum stores feces until you have a bowel motion. When this happens, the muscles in the wall of the rectum pushes it out of the anus. If the feces stay in the rectum for more than three days, it dries out and becomes difficult to push out. This is called constipation.

  11. stomach The stomach is like a big, pink, muscle. Acid inside rains down to digest food. Mucus in the stomach is on the walls and it helps the stomach not erode. The stomach breaks food down into tiny particles. It churns and grinds it up. There is a acid in there called hydrochloric acid, or shortened HCI.
