  2. Commercial Feed license • Submit a feed license application before you start distributing. • Application can be found at http://mda.mo.gov/plants/pdf/comm_feed_lic_app.pdf • Pay the $25.00 annual fee. Missouri Department of Agriculture, Plant Industries Division

Product listing of pet foods and specialty foods • There is a $25.00 annual inspection fee for Pet foods (dog & cat only) sold exclusively in packages of ten pounds or less and on specialty pet foods sold only in packages of one pound or less. • Product listing form can be found at http://mda.mo.gov/plants/pdf/product_list_pet_foods.pdf Missouri Department of Agriculture, Plant Industries Division

Tonnage reports • Quarterly tonnage reports are mailed at the end of each quarter. • There is a $0.10 a ton inspection fee on tonnage or a minimum $5.00. • Those companies who sell only pet or specialty pet food items exclusively in small packages and file an annual product listing form are exempt from paying the $5.00 minimum. • A tonnage report form can be found at http://mda.mo.gov/plants/pdf/feed_tonnage_report.pdf Missouri Department of Agriculture, Plant Industries Division

These areas are required on label (Continued): Ingredients list all ingredients in descending order (by weight) Feeding Directions the principle display panel (front of label) must state “treat” or “snack” or the feeding directions must state: “This product is intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only.
