Amir's Story of Hardship And Success: • Amir had lost his arms when he was 8 years old in a mishap at his father's mill. However, he never let his disability come his way towards becoming a cricketer. He has a very unique style of playing cricket. He uses his legs to bowl and his shoulders and neck to bat. Seeing his passion for cricket, his teacher introduced him to para cricket. Since then, Amir has been playing professional cricket. He also serves as an inspiration to all those disabled individuals who wish to pursue a career in sports irrespective of their physical constraints.
Amir's high spirit and dedication have their roots in a childhood incident where his curiosity was aroused when he observed a duck swimming. This made him determined to learn to swim. Just after he had mastered swimming after watching the durk paddling in the river, he turned his attention to cricket with the same enthusiasm. His journey from a disabled boy to one of the most looked-upon international cricketers has become an inspiration for young aspirants in his village. Because of Amir's extraordinary dedication, he has been a part of many tournaments in Nepal, Afghanistan, and the UAE.
