  1. I N T R O D U C T I O N The Publishing Ministries Department of the Church has experienced a significant growth during the last few years. The number of full-time, part-time and student Literature Evangelists around the world has increased from 27,380 in 2000 to 39,765, according to our 2006 Annual Statistical Report. With the increase in number of literature workers comes also the challenge of providing corresponding professional training. In 2001, the World Publishing Advisory voted to establish a Literature Ministry Seminary (LMS) in every union or country of the world field. This is a program designed to provide quality and professional training for publishing leaders and Literature Evangelists who are called for service in the Literature Ministry. This initiative requires the development of a curriculum and the appropriate training materials.

  2. INTRODUCTION Consequently, guidelines and policies for the operation of Literature Ministry Seminaries and a Teachers’ Training Manual also become necessary. This Training Manual contains syllabi focused toward the spiritual and professional development of Literature Evangelists in their calling. It is produced in three volumes of which this is the third. We hope these materials will assist all Literature Ministry Seminary instructors in fulfilling our training objectives. Howard F. Faigao, Director Publishing Ministries Department General Conference of SDA October 2007
