Accountability CommissionRecommendations for High Stakes Policy Grades 4 and 8 • Major revisions to the policy are not necessary. • Take advantage of transitional program opportunities for students in grade 4. • Take advantage of flexibility for placement and program of study for students in grade 8. • Do not require more than one year of retention. • Incorporate Career Diploma provisions.
