Membership: A True Partnership • Encouraged parents with ideas to run • Ballot includes brief bio and why want to serve • Selected community members who are committed and want to help • Created active committees based on SIC members ideas • Added interested “non-SIC” parents and community members to SIC committees • Listened, listened, listened • TRUST

Meetings: Win-Win • Meet at time members can and will attend • Detailed minutes (sent out prior to meeting to save time and ensure continuity) • Set agenda and follow agenda • Committee reports at each meeting (holds committees accountable and values their work) • Created bylaws and follow them

  5. Goals, Goals, Goals • Developed School Improvement Plan • Set goals as a TEAM • Developed committees for each goal • Developed Action Plan for each goal • Committee reports at each meeting
