  4. How does West Nile Virus effect people? West Nile virus will develop into a more severe disease called West Nile encephalitis or meningitis. It includes headache, high fever, neck stiffness, stupor, disorientation, coma, tremors, convulsions, muscle weakness, and paralysis.
