  2. Born in Greenwood Have a 9 month old little girl named Lauren Head Varsity Softball Coach at GHS Have an identical twin sister Graduated from Erskine College with a BS in Elem. Ed. Graduated from Lander Univ. with a Master’s of Ed 8th year teaching (3 yrs in 3rd and 5th year in 4th) 3rd year at Merrywood About Mrs. Williams

  3. Important School Information • 7:50-2:40 Please be on time! • Breakfast in the Classroom – 7:40 • Car riders may not enter the building until 7:15 (get here early to avoid traffic!) • Dismissal – 2:40 • Be on time! Instruction time is lost! • Merrywood Manners & Lifeskills

About 4th Grade • Lucy Calkins Reading & Writing, Word Study, Math, Science, and Social Studies • Data Notebooks – great assessment tool that will be used throughout the year • MAP – 2 times a year • PASS – writing in March and reading, math, science, and social studies in May • Can be a tough year if your child does not work hard, listen, pay attention, and turn in assignments. • The 3 most important people directly related to your child’s success this year will be your child, myself, and you.

  5. About Mrs. Williams’s Class • READ, READ, READ!! –Please sign your child’s reading log which will be located in his/her homework folder. This will be a monthly grade. • Daily grades: homework, guided reading, and daily assessments in each subject (Parent Portal) • Tests are given after each unit; study guides will go home before tests, usually a week before & will be located in their homework folder • Announced and unannounced quizzes will be given throughout units. • Signed Papers every Monday – sign folder & return all graded material • Homework in agendas • Community of independent learners
