  1. Bell Ringer: Wednesday, February 1st • Copy down the word for today: • Truck • Articles of commerce; goods • Sentence: “You’ve acted this way before. You always want more’n your share of the truck, and you’ve always got it…” • Then…write a complete, original sentence using the word cavort (verb). • Vocab quiz on Friday on…penultimate, refute, satire, loll, victuals, cavort, and truck

  2. Your binder… • What should you keep? • Everything in the WRITING section • Your vocab words (bell ringer section) • All materials from Huck Finn (put these in Q3) • If you would like to keep the rest of your notes that’s fine, but if you want to recycle them, I won’t be testing you on them again.

  3. With your table… • Summarize • Annotate! (at least 4 sticky notes – I will check over your notes today)

  4. For Friday… • Vocab quiz • MATCHING + sentences • Read through chapter 16 (p. 72) • Fill out a reading guide sheet • Prepare for lit circles 
