  2. Table of Contents (What we are going to talk about) Cons of Adoption 1. Missing your parents your entire life 2. You might not ever get to meet them for the rest of your life 3. Telling someone else "you can love my baby better than me" Pros of Adoption • Adopting as Babies:Not knowing any different • Some children don't want to or shouldn't meet their parents. Knowing the parents would never be able to take care of the child by themselves • Not being able to have children

  4. Amendment • 8th Amendment No Cruel and Unusual punishment We went with this amendment because, it fits into the good side of adoption. It fits into the fact that if people weren't able to conceive a baby, that they should be able to adopt because its not there fault they can't conceive, so if people were against adopting it would be a cruel punishment. We also went with this amendment because, it fits into the bad side of adoption. If you were a baby and as you got older you got abused as a young child, how can you help that? You can't because a certain person okayed it and thought that they were a great family that the child would be fine. In America there are way too many people getting hurt because of children ending up with the wrong families and to us that is cruel and unusual punishment.

Pros & Cons of Adoption Page 2 Pros: Abuse and Troubled Parents/Families • Child Abuse Victims • Parents with Mental Disease • Knowing the parents would never be able to take care of the child by themselves Cons: Abuse and Troubled Parents/Families • Abuse victims wouldn't want to go to another home • Parents who have a Mental Disease could seriously hurt the Child • Getting Taken away from their real parents

Pros: People not being able to have children • Women that are unable to conceive and Infertile Men • Same-sex couples
