  2. PRESIDENCY SYMBOL It resembles an oak leaf, which reflects the solid, persistent, dependable character of Slovenes, a people who are cool under pressure and thoughtful in their decisions.

  3. PRESIDENCY SYMBOL The logo is a combination of five basic elements • Fire(yellow shooting star in the middle) - it represents the dynamism and energy of a young, modern country looking to the future and eager to face challenges. • Triglav, depicted by the mountain outline at the top, representsEarth. It symbolizes determination and achievement. • Waterflows below, depicting the rivers and sea forming part of Slovenia’s versatile nature. • Airis represented by the white spaces interspersing the outlines of the logo. It symbolizes Slovenia’s desire to breathe life into all it undertakes. • Etherrepresents immateriality, and thus freedom and spiritual values. The logo conveys this element through its flowing lines. It reflects Slovenia’s traditional ecological orientation.

MAIN EVENTS • Two European Councils (March and June) – both in Brussels • 11 informal ministerial meetings in Slovenia (all will take place in the Brdo estate) and one in Brussels • Three ministerial conferences (two in Slovenia) • 32 formal Council meetings in Brussels and in Luxembourg • Hundreds of meetings of working groups • Around 120 meetings at sub-ministerial level in Slovenia • Four 3rd country meetings (LAC, USA, Russia, Japan)
