Explore the concept of national fusion and European integration in the Nordic States within the context of the European Union. This study delves into the definitions and past applications of fusion, particularly in relation to Europeanization concepts. The micro-fusion framework is analyzed, focusing on Europeanization of policy-makers' attention and actions, institutional adaptation, and different facets of fusion mentality. The supranational dimension of the European Union is examined through the macro-fusion thesis while detailing the micro-fusion framework within member states. The Nordic context is considered, emphasizing lessons from Sweden and proposing a research agenda for the future.
