Those Powerful S’s Streaming, Skype , Scratch, Smartboard
Lesson Planning • Upload movie and Filamentality to forums in BB • Start writing first lesson for unit • Lesson due next week posted to google docs. • Complete Unit Plan due next week
Streaming • Discovery Streaming Treasure Hunt. Go to the website use the following login info: • Username: aurora.staff251 • Password: staff • Find at least 5 different videos clips or images you could use with your unit. • Create a Video Guide with 2-3 questions students could answer relate to each clip. Print it out.
Scratch • Go to http://scratch.mit.edu/ • Look through the Gallery • Watch a few tutorials • Create a Scratch project (this may or may not be related to your unit) • Print it out
Skype • Check out Skype Resources (in our BB class folder for this week) • Around the World with 80 Schools • K12OnLine Presentation Videos • Langwitches • Print out 2-3 pages of interesting ideas for how you could use skype in your classroom (may or may not be related to your unit). • Participate in one skype phone call during class.
Video Conferencing • Check out the Video Conferencing Resouces (in our BB class folder for this week) • Create a CAP space (print out a project you might be interested in for your future classroom) • Check out Read Around the Planet Website (print out information)
Smartboard • Find at least 3 games you could play with students related to your unit. • Create a hotlist on Filamentality • Print out Filamenatlity • Hand in all Print Outs as a Packet
