The E normous Turnip. Once upon a time there was a little old man who had a wife, a son, a daughter, a dog, a cat and a mouse. He wanted to grow turnips very much, so one day he scattered some turnip seeds in his garden. .

Once upon a time there was a little old man who had a wife, a son, a daughter, a dog, a cat and a mouse. He wanted to grow turnips very much, so one day he scattered some turnip seeds in his garden.
After an hour he started to feel very sleepy so, he didn’t work anymore and went inside to have a little nap. He had wonderful dreams about turnips.
The next day the old man went to check his seeds. He looked out of the window and could not believe his eyes. It was an enormous turnip!!
The little old man rushed outside as fast as he could, “That is just what I dreamed about, an enormous turnip,” said the little old man in surprise. The man held it and pulled and pulled but the turnip didn’t come out. He called his wife, Jane! Jane! I need help!”
The old man and his wife tried, but the turnip still didn’t comeout. So, his wife called their son, Tom. But the enormous turnip didn’t come out. Tom called his sister, Gabrielle. Four of them tried again and again, but the enormous turnip didn’tcome out.
At last they all called the dog, the cat and the mouse. They pulled all together and suddenly the turnip came out. They all fell backward.
The old man and his family were very happy. The farmer’s wife made a delicious turnip supper and they invited everyone in the village.
