Field-Map extensions & tools • Field-Map Extension = a dll library connected directly in Field-Map Data Collector • Works only with currently opened project • Dll library can be also connected from a scrip • Usually stored in C:\Program Files\IFER\Field-Map\Extensions • Field-Map Tool = independent program (exe) • Stored in C:\Program Files\IFER\Field-Map\Tools

Extension 12 Field-Map Data Printer • An extension for printing data from Field-Map projects (Field-Map databases) • It is suitable for printing regular reports since the actual printing can be done by one click of a button (provided base on printout template) • Allows users to design printout forms with tables and other printout objects, such as tree maps, DH charts, images, memo fields or text rows.

  8. Tool12 Update Projects • Uses source data (XML metadata, lookup lists) and copies it to the updated projects • Updates more projects at once • Automatically runs project compilation • Can be run from command line

Data synchronization Enables to share data among multiple field teams Each team can have any slice of data (subset of plots) and receives only updates of its data All data get uploaded to a central database on the server Server database is a regular Field-Map project (possible to use any other Field-Map tools to work with it!) Data updating mechanism uses globally unique identifiers and time stamps Supported are not just data tables but also GIS layers
