  2. What is the C-Plan? • Effort underway at the DE to streamline the collection process of reports, data and progress for districts/schools. • Tool districts/schools can use locally, and not just for reporting and compliance to the DE.

  3. Why is the C-Plan needed? • Districts/schools are required to complete 10-15 plans or reports and there is overlap in the requested information. • Consolidation of applications will reduce the burden, costs and time for districts/schools, AEAs and DE. • Is in response to requests districts/schools and AEAs have made for a simpler or consolidated planning/reporting process.

  4. Plans Included in the First Release of C-Plan • Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP) • Annual Progress Report (APR) • Iowa Core Implementation Plan • District Developed Service Delivery Plan (DDSDP) • Schools In Need of Assistance/Districts In Need of Assistance (SINA/DINA) Plan Additional plans will be considered for inclusion at a future date.

  8. C-Plan Stakeholders Group Responsibilities • Attend monthly virtual meetings on various topics related to C-Plan to provide feedback to DE Project Team • Communicate about C-Plan with people they work with • Test the C-Plan application during the testing period

Details • Public and non-public districts and schools will use C-Plan • C-Plan will be available for data entry in June of 2012 • Data entry into C-Plan in June 2012 will be made from scratch but cutting and pasting from other DE applications will be possible • Porting information from year to year is being considered for subsequent years

More Details • Public reports will be available from the DE website and will include appropriate redactions of information. • The Iowa Core Implementation Plan will use the current application for the July 1, 2012 deadline. • Data elements unique to the Iowa Core Implementation Plan will be added to the C-Plan in December of 2012. • C-Plan is an integral part of ESEA Flexibility Waiver

  11. Training for C-Plan • Districts/Schools will be trained on the C-Plan application in April/May, June, and August of 2012. • Linking up with the Fall 2012 EASIER training dates for districts/schools • Open webinar training in June • Open webinar training in August • Online Tutorials for use at any time
