  3. The pacific scandal was an agreement that was misled and made into something that was unexpected. Sir John A MacDonald vowed to have a trans-continental railway completed in 10 years, by 1881. Due to other scandal issues and Sir John A MacDonald not being able to build a railroad in the time given, certain circumstances were risen upon him. There was a point during the pacific scandal where prime minister Sir John A MacDonald forcefully had to resign. What:

PROBLEMS • A problem that Canada faced was the route of the railway itself. • The prime minister and other men that were involved had to put their input as to where the railway should start from and where it should end. • They had to make sure that the specified locations were connected with others for sure. • Sir John A MacDonald could not afford to make a mistake. • Another problem occurred during a conference when intense evidence was brought up against Sir John A MacDonald. • This forced him to resign his responsibility as prime minister.
