First Reason We are tortured by the sinful things that we have done Psalm 38:3-4 “There is no soundness in my flesh because of Your anger, nor any health in my bones because of my sin. For my iniquities have gone over my head; like a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.” Christian based statistical studies show 50% of church going men struggle with some sort of secret sin. Second Reason We are tortured by lies we believe John 8:44 “... the devil... He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” We become prisoners of something that is not true The devil lies and connects what you did with who you are

First Thing Tell your soul... It's better to confess your sins than to hide your sins Proverbs 28:13 “Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.” Unconfessed sin is like poison to the soul We need to confess it in two parts
