  1. Good day, Spartans! It’s a Tech day…weird! Please login to Typing Master and spend about 15 minutes warming up your fingers. Today is our Final Typing Test! Don’t stress because that won’t help your score. Relax, focus, practice with a purpose. There will be an announcement when the test will begin. Please do not take the test before that time, otherwise your score will be voided. Thank you!

  2. Typing Test Scorecard • Write your First and Last Name neatly on either side. • Write Test 1 on one side and Test 2 on the other. • Under Test 1 write • NET SPEED • ACCURACY • Do the same under Test 2 • You will be recording your scores after each test today.

Typing Test 1 - Covered • Choose a cover of your choice. • The test is 4 minutes in length. • It is your responsibility to keep your eyes on your screen during the test. • When you finish, write your NET SPEED and ACCURACY on the notecard for TEST 1 and pause until instructions are given for your next test. • You may begin… Final Test 1 Covered

Typing Test 2 - Uncovered • You will not use a cover on this test. • The test is 6 minutes in length. • It is your responsibility to keep your eyes on your screen during the test. • When you finish, write your NET SPEED and ACCURACY on the notecard for TEST 2 and pause until instructions are given for your next task. • You may begin… Final Test 2

Typing Test Scoring • 5 point scale (assuming 70%+ accuracy) • 20+ WPM = 5.0 • 18-19 WPM = 4.7 • 16-17 WPM = 4.5 • 14-15 WPM = 4.2 • 12-13 WPM = 4.0 • 10-11 WPM = 3.7 • Less than 10 WPM = 3.5 • Scored as a Summative Assignment (50% category) • Test 1 (Covered) will be weighted at ZERO…recorded but does not impact grade, positive or negative.

  6. The rest of the period… • Check your grades. Are you missing the City PowerPoint or MS Excel Coffee Shop? • Yes? Did you finish the project? If so, pick up a Self-Evaluation from the counter. Fill it out. Turn it in. • Yes? Did you NOT finish the project? Go to Ford’s website, find the assignment on the Tech 6 page and get it done!! Fill out a self-evaluation when you finish and turn it in. • No? Terrific… The next slide is for you!

  7. The rest of the period… • Open your Google Website (Digital Portfolio). • If you DO NOT know your username or password, please write yourself a pass to the library to see Ms. Cook. I will need to sign the pass. • If you DO know your password,… • Update your pages…Include recent assignments from any and all classes. • Update your narratives • Update your color schemes • Update your Fitness Card Spreadsheet (available on the counter) • Work quietly and independently. Help others quickly and get back to your own website.

  8. The rest of the period… • Don’t have a Google Website (Digital Portfolio)? • Create one! • Get your username and password from Ms. Cook in the library (with a note). • There are directions on my website for how to create your own google site. That should cover everybody! Please use this time wisely.
