PV in Buildings, Status report 14-05-01 • State of the art • - PV in Buildings is now at the beginning of its second decade • - Many built examples have demonstrated how PV Buildings look like • - Good results have been achieved , it works! • - PV clearly has a great potential • - No barriers are known at presentfor the broad exploitation • Difficulties to meeting the cost targets in reasonable time • - A lot of different national programs realised and still ongoing Peter Toggweiler, Enecolo AG

PV in Buildings, Status report 14-05-01 • An good example covering several issues of Enerbuild: • One family house with an additional two room office, • South roof covered with PV, env, 12 kW, 10’000 kWh/y (Standard laminates with SOLRIF) • Heat pump for room heating and DHW • Low flow ventilation with heat recovery • Well insulated ( “Minergie” standard) • Net supplier over an annual period (more production than consumption) No other energy except some wood for the chimney. However, the project do not represent the overall scenery of PV in Building and there is no clear strategy visible what has to bee achieved except cost reductions and standardisation.
