  4. Bowling for Buddies Since 1989, the YWCA of Alexandria-Pineville’s YW-Buddies Mentoring Program has positively impacted young women and men throughout Central Louisiana. Through this life-changing program, volunteers and children are matched based on each participating child’s specific needs and the common interests of the child and volunteer. Buddies provide the children with homework help, arts and crafts, encouragement, and other means of positive, one-on-one attention. YW-Buddies has matched nearly 2,000 Central Louisiana children since the program's inception! The YWCA’s Bowling for Buddies fundraiser is the only event held to solely support the YW-Buddies Mentoring Program. This fun, family-friendly event is open to the public and is typically held each spring. Despite great community participation in years past, the YWCA relies largely on sponsorships to drive the sustainability of YW-Buddies. YWCAalex.org

Lane Sponsor • Investment: $500 • Bowling for Buddies supports the YW-Buddies Mentoring Program, matching Central Louisiana children with positive role models.  • Pre-Event Benefits: • 365-day rights to “Proud sponsor of YWCA Buddies Mentoring Program” statement • Mentions in social-media posts and any media appearances • Name listed on YWCAalex.org website as a Lane Sponsor • Event Day: • (2) 5-person bowling teams* (includes event T-shirts, shoe and lane rental) • Company logo included on 2 bowling lanes, Lane Sponsor board, table signage, and event T-shirts • Name mentioned during announcements throughout the event • Rights to distribute company logo merchandise to event participants • Post-Event Benefits: • Mentions in social-media posts *If you choose not to organize a bowling team, we can assemble a group of children to play in your honor.
