Install WOAS_Cab.CAB • This file is not part of the Web FOCUS installation. I got it from our IBI Support guys. • When you obtain it, copy the file in a folder on your SharePoint Server • Copy SharePoint Command Line tool STSADM.exe from the “12 Hive” to the same folder you put the “cab” file.
12 Hive? • Most SharePoint files are here = Hive • Version = 12 • Get It? • C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\BIN
Install WOAS_Cab.CAB cont. • Open Command Prompt and run the following to install it. (From the directory you copied your files) • Stsadm –o addwppack –filename WOAS_Cab.CAB –force –globalinstall • You should see: Operation completed successfully.
Configure Web Parts • Web Part Files are part of the Web FOCUS installation. • Default Location: • D:\ibi\WebFOCUS76\worp\components\webparts2
Configure Web Parts cont. • By default this files have “localhost” as the server name. • Open each .dwp file and input your server name. • You can open this files with “notepad”
Bonus Tip! • By Default Web Parts run with the credentials the user uses to login to SharePoint. • http://servername/ibi_apps/components/woas/governor/WOAS_view.jsp?SID=_LogonUser_&gn=1&view=report • You may change “_LogonUser_” for the user id you wish to use. For example: • http://servername/ibi_apps/components/woas/governor/WOAS_view.jsp?SID=Guests&gn=1&view=report
Add Web Parts to SharePoint Site • Go to your SharePoint Top Level Site and add the Web FOCUS web parts to the Web Part Gallery. • Site Actions Site Settings Under “Galleries” click on “Web Parts”.
Group Web Parts • After uploading you will see a form where you can change some properties of the uploaded Web Part. • Recommendation: Create a group to put your Web FOCUS Web Parts.
Upload Web Parts • Repeat upload steps for each web part you wish to make available in your site. • Your Web FOCUS web parts will now be in the Web Part Gallery.

Launch Power Painter • If you select Power Painter, a browser window will open after loading.
Run a Report from Domain Web Part • Browse for the Report • Click on it • Select “Run” from the pop up menu.
Report Web Part • The Domain list Web Part is very practical to create new reports or graphs and to edit existing reports. • But, what if you want to embed a report or graph to your page? • This is very useful if you want to have your most important report always present right next to where your team’s documents, calendar and schedules are. • Very useful if used to track a performance indicator that varies during the day • On sites where customer can go to View business information only.
