Charcoal DRILL: Take out progress report. • Title a new page: “CHARCOAL/ CHALK” You may want to make a 2 page spread. • What is charcoal? • Who were the first people to use charcoal? • When? • Try to shade with a piece of chalk from box. Objective: You will explore charcoal/ chalk techniques in order to improve knowledge of art materials.

  11. Charcoal Pencil Objective: You will explore techniques with charcoal pencil in order to discover new shading and drawing skills. DRILL: Progress Reports signed. You may want 2 pages. • New page: Charcoal Pencil • What is hatching? • Draw 3 small boxes and 2 larger boxes. • You will need a shoe and a charcoal pencil. ( Miss Gauger will pass out the charcoal pencils)
