  6. Contest • Two categories: art and writing • Winners chosen by creativity, not by skill • Theme of nature must be present for art entries • Entry forms available online - printable • Can be emailed or mailed in

  7. The Promotional Plan

  8. Pre-Release: Week 1 • Day 1: Post and portal websites open with pre-launch commercial • Day 2: Pre-launch commercial starts to air on TV • Commercial will air until the end of Week 3

  9. Weeks 2 and 3 • Final preparations for both websites should be ready for launch at the beginning of Week 4 • First batch of promotional plush toys should begin and be ready by the end of Week 5

  10. Week 4 • Cereal released in stores – decal set • New chapter will be added to the portal site • Post-launch commercial airs

  11. Weeks 5 and 6 • Web advertisements will be completed and hosted on all chosen sites

  12. Weeks 7 and 8 • Processing of plush toys will begin • New chapter will be added to the portal site • Contest will be introduced

  13. Week 9 • Newspaper advertisements will be printed in all chosen newspapers • Review feedback sent in from box

  14. Week 10 • Processing of the contest entries will begin • Begin reviewing progress since launch • Make necessary adjustments for after Week 13

  15. Weeks 11 and 12 • Begin preparations for new versions of newspaper and web advertisements • New chapter will be added to the portal site

  16. Week 13 • Winner of the contest announced • Mini story will be added to portal site in relation to contest

  17. After Week 13 • Continue adding new chapters to the portal site every month • Add mini stories around holidays and other special events • New contests and events to be released based on customer feedback
