The Fast-Track Home Adaptations initiative aims to streamline the process of providing critical home improvements, like level access showers, to clients in need. By fostering collaboration among Occupational Therapists, Local Authorities, and Home Improvement Agencies, we are working towards reducing technical input and minimizing visits, ensuring a more efficient referral process. This new approach enables quicker turnaround times for adaptations while maintaining budgetary oversight and enhancing client experience. However, we remain mindful of the need for balance, as speed must not compromise care quality.
