  1. Commercialization and implementation of the energy- and recourse-saving technologies at the enterprises of Saint-Petersburg Polymer Cluster Alena V. Dynina “KP” Plant, LLC International innovation week The Netherlands

  2. Nanotechnologies Revolution • The newest nanotechnologies along with computer-information technologies and biotechnologies are the ground of scientific and technological revolution of the XXIst century comparable with transformations in techniques and in the society caused by the most influential discoveries of the XXth century. And these technologies sometimes can surpass transformations in scales • Nanotechnologies may become a powerful instrument of the Russian technological complex integration in the international market of Hi-Tech and provide competitiveness of domestic products

  3. Nanomaterials and pulping technologies Nanomaterials is the materials which contain the structural elements with geometrical dimensions less then 100 nanometers and which have absolutely new properties, operational and functional characteristics

  4. The 7th International Conference on nanotechnologies (Visbaden, 2004) According to the Conference the following nanomaterials were underlined: - Nano bodies, nano fibers • Nano pipes and fullerenes • Nanoporous structures • Nanodispersions • Nanostructured surfaces andfilms • Nano crystal materials

  5. Structures on base of carbon *Graphene model in the form of 2D hexagonal latitude *Fullerene model *Mono wall carbon nano pipe model *Poly walls carbon nano pipe model

  6. Upwards technology • The technology " upwards " is coming down to nanoscale object production by means of particular atoms and molecules construction. In almost every technology of atoms collecting from separate atoms condensationis reasonable *Condensation (from lat. condenso – to compact, to thicken) is a substance transfer from gas to liquid or solid caused by cooling or compression • Within condensation of nanoelements production there is a need to dissolve atoms from their micro body. Dissolving can be conducted by means of thermal or laser heating of micro body. Dissolved atoms should be transferred to lower temperature zone where condensation will start. • On base of condensation fullerenes, carbon pipes, nano clusters, and nano elements of different scales can be produced.

  7. Downwards technology The "downwards" technology is based on scales reduction of bodies by mechanicalor other processing up to the nanometers scale production. For example nano elements can be produced by macro scale material milling in special mill Structure by lithography

  8. NANOCOVERINGS • Coverings combining polymer layers and nano elements of chrystal (automobile mirrors, bathroom mirrors, glasses of digital cameras, sport glasses etc.); • Coveringson base of sol/jelly –technologies (can be applied to wind screens to make them more sustained to scratches); • Dirt- and humidity resisting color for outwalls; • Multilayer paper for inkjet printers. *Nanocovering for automobile mirror. On the picture above the left side of mirror id processed, on the lower picture – the right side

  9. Nanotechnologies in medicine -Ag nano elements antibacterial For instance antibacterial dressings with nano elements of Ag. Nano elements kill even those micro organisms who are not sensitive to standard antiseptics. Tube wheel’s coating antisepticise clothes during washing. The German scientists introduced ions of Ag in clothes and bed-clothes which are recommended to use by people with eczema and other skin diseases. -creation of up-molecular medicinal capsules Using these capsules high dozes of medicines can be transferred in the source of disease minimizing by-effects

  10. Use of technologies of PPU and UHMWPE spraying. Warm loses reduction owing to heat- and hydro-insulation. Suah coatings’ application leads to energy consumption reduction on 435 гКал/ч (323,64 гКал/мес). *According to the SPbSUFE payback period in energy-saving sphere - 4,8 years POLYMER COATING OF ROOF PLACES AND SUBBASEMENTS

  11. POLYMER NANO COATINGS AND DE-ICING MATERIALS IMPLEMENTATION Roof spaces covering by heat-insulation materials (PPU), produced by LLC “Institute of polymers”: «foamed glass», «isotherm» De-icing and nano materials coatings of buildings 'roofs by colors of “Pigment” and SPbSTI (TU) Use of UHMWPE sheets vice galvanized iron Heat isolation of heating tubes Subbasement coating (hydro isolation) by composite materials on base of UHMWPE. Technologies are produced by chemical faculty of SPbSU, LLC “Institute of polymers”. Pre-preg siding by Ioffe Institute. Powdered colors spraying of plumbing ware Buildings visors’ de-icing covering on base of UHMWPE. Technology is produced by SPbSU, CRDI “Prometi” and LLC “Institute of polymers” Heat- and hydro isolation of subbasements by PPU. 20. SAMPLES OF COATINGS AND FIRST RESULTS

  21. ANTI-ICING COATINGS • Polymer anti-icing coatings on base of UHMWPE can decide a number of problems: • Owing to liquidity index of UHMWPE during heating material closes existing doors and holes and pot probe hems; • High level of resistance protect the surface of the roof from the mechanical influence; • UHMWPE elasticity index helps to preserve proof during thermal enlargements in winter and summer season; • High adhesion of anti-icing coatings on base of UHMWPE protects the surface from corrosion and thus polymer coating’s exploitation period can be more than 10 years.
