THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST Revelation 12 flows into Chapter 13 and Chapter 14 IT IS A CONTINUAL FLOWING SCENE Revelation 12 shows … The eternal battle between Satan and God’s People – especially Israel (national and spiritual and the church) Revelation 13 shows… Exactly how all of this hatred will culminate in the final 7 years of man’s history – with an “antichrist” - Satan will fill an “empire” , a man and a religious system represented by a man to deceive the world and influence world affairs. This deception will culminate in an all out attack on the the TWO WITNESSES – Israel and the Church. This “unholy alliance” – Satan and two men – make up a “false Trinity”. All represented by man’s number 666 (God’s number – 777) Revelation 14 shows… The ultimate and complete triumph, of those who are faithful to Jesus Christ, over the world and the attacks of the antichrist. READ REVELATION 14:1-13

  3. THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST “The Key elements of interpretation” of Revelation Chapter 14:1-5 All of them “juxtapositions” of Chapter 13! The Lamb standing on Mount Zion – Jesus Mount Zion - Heaven (Jerusalem) THE 144,000 and the “roar of the multitudes” (1st represent the “remnant of Israel” – Jewish believers of the last days 2nd represents – THE CHURCH –the Two Witnesses! They are raptured and in the presence of Jesus!) THIS LINES UP perfectly with Chapter 7. * His Name and His Father’s Name - written on their Foreheads * Without blame *Did not defile themselves with “women” * Without a “lie” in them

THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST REVELATION CHAPTER 14: 6-13 A series of 3 ANGELS 4 ETERNAL TRUTHS Chapter 14:1-5 was used for juxtaposition purposes – And would fit more perfectly with the ending of Chapter 13 in a chronological reading. 14: 6-13 not meant to be a continuing “chronology” of events so much as a representation of ETERNAL TRUTHS especially important in the “last days” or the “trumpet days”.

Matthew 24 – Jesus – “This Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached unto all the world, then the end shall come.” Dan 12:4 -”But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge will increase.” (KJV) Rev. 10 – A mighty angel – sea/land – little scroll open REVELATION CHAPTER 14: 6-13 Eternal truth number ONE – Represented by the First Angel THE WORD IS ETERNAL! *It is “ETERNAL” because: 1. It is ALWAYS true! 2. Your choice is EVERLASTING!

THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST *Fallen Babylon - 1st time “Babylon” used in Revelation – 4 more times – 3 speak of “its fall” – one speaks of its clearer definition (Chapter 17) REVELATION CHAPTER 14: 6-13 Eternal truth number TWO – Represented by the Second Angel THE WORLD IS TEMPORAL! *Babylon in John’s day - No longer existed literally - never to be rebuilt (Isaiah 13:20) Literal Babylon – haughty, insolent, oppressive, hated Jews and destroyed their first temple. (Remember Saddam?) So here it is a symbol – “Rome” – Chapter 17 (7 hills) Rome meets all criteria of above – it represents that ANTICHRIST seat of power and influence of the last days! The right-hand man of antichrist

The World or Jesus – Man’s way or God’s way – TODAY… Evolution, Homosexuality, Abortion, Substance Abuse, Sexual Immorality – (premarital sex – porn – adultery – living together before marriage, etc.) The Lord’s House, The Lord’s People, The Lord’s Day REVELATION CHAPTER 14: 6-13 Eternal truth number THREE – Represented by the Third Angel “If anyone worships the beast or His image…” WORSHIP is serious business! *NOTE AGAIN – verse 12 – Patient endurance – “saints” verse 13 – Blessed – “die in the Lord”

  8. THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST *WRITE THIS DOWN - have you noticed this emphasis in the “prophetic passages” we have dealt with? Rev./ Dan. REVELATION CHAPTER 14: 6-13 Eternal truth number FOUR – Spoken by the Third Angel It is WRITTEN! When God speaks it – IT IS SO When GOD WRITES IT - WE ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE!

The World is temporal – The Anti-Christ and his lies will be defeated! 3. Worship is serious business – The godless will be punished, the faithful will be rewarded. 4. Write – without excuse!

  10. THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST BUT THERE IS A 5th ETERNAL TRUTH Represented by the 3rd Angel Eternal truth number FIVE… YOUR WORKS (deeds) WILL FOLLOW YOU! “yes, says the Spirit…they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”(Verse 13b)

  11. THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST DOES THIS SUGGEST THAT SOMEHOW our “works” or “deeds” or “good things that we do” are how the Lord Jesus “measures” us and/or allows us into Heaven? OF COURSE NOT… Eph 2:8-10 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For (BUT) we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (NIV) SO…what does it mean…our “works” or “deeds” will “follow”us?…

  12. THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST 1 Corinthians 3:10-15 10 By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should be careful how he builds. 11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man's work. 14 If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward. 15 If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames. BFWYA!
