Where Does Fire Come From? …We constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith. We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thess. 1:11,12

  2. Themes Our greatest joy and passion comes when we experience intimacy with God while living out His purpose for us. God’s Plan is to use impassioned believers to change the world.

  3. Introduction: A Society/World in Crisis Titus 1… Regularly Deceivers; Cruel (depraved) little beasts; Pregnant looking (big bellied, that is gluttonous); Work-less (people trying to avoid doing work - - deliberately unemployed)

Present Day Deception(denial, fantasy, exaggeration, proclamation without evidence) has become an international pastime, Cruelty either verbal or physical has become our sport and entertainment, Consumption of food in excess is our national disease and Something for nothing or getting away with doing nothing has become our personal goal. God’s plan: Change the world using impassioned believers

  7. 3. God’s Plan Comes With Faith Directed Action 11c and every act prompted by your faith Faith is like a seed planted within. Adversity is often the condition that lets it germinate and raise its head above the ground. Faith is there (a gift) but appears when it is needed, when its presence is desired and useful.

God’s Plan Is For EveryoneTo See HIM In US 12a We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you Ro 12:11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Proverbs 19:2 It is not good to have zeal without knowledge, nor to be hasty and miss the way.

  9. 5. God’s Plan Is For Us: To Provide Us With Perfect Enablement 12b according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. A gift from God, the divine enablement provided so we can actually do the right thing.

  10. A Call to a New Level Of Passion Here is what the World can and needs to see: You and me powered by God, sponsored by the blood of Christ, produced and directed by the Holy Spirit. Scripted by the very hand of God Himself, yet it is our voice and our life they will see.
