  2. 1. Operation 1 Corinthians 12-14 deals at length with the operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. In order to correct the abuses that were taking place in the church, he lays down clear principles for the correct use of the gifts in the church.

  14. Vocal Gifts Prophecy Tongues Interpretation Interpreting the divine will and purpose for the present. Bringing a message from God in a language you have not learned. Giving the meaning of a message brought in tongues.

  15. Power Gifts Faith Healing Miracles A special deposit of faith to overcome a particular problem. God’s supernatural inter-vention to cure health problems. A manifestation of God’s power to control or over-rule the laws of nature.

  16. Revelation Gifts Wisdom Knowledge Discernment The Spirit reveals the best course of action to take in a particular situation. The Spirit reveals a piece of information that you could not know by natural means. The Spirit reveals which Spirit is at work: God’s, man’s or Satan’s.
