  1. During the process of creating my magazine, I had to use a wide range of programmes that was available, such as: • InDesign • Photoshop • Wordpress • Google Q6: What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product? Photoshop: Was a suitable programme for editing my pictures, especially when getting rid of the shadows and backgrounds around my model. As I was familiar with using Photoshop it was easy to browse the images on bridge, and select the chosen pictures and edit them using, brightness and contrast, and changing the levels. I also used the brush to make the colour of my model’s lips more brighter and neater. The spot wand was used to remove any spots and blemishes to make the picture more flawless and professional. I found it tricky to get rid of the shadows as it took quite a long time.

  2. InDesign: This was a programme I used to construct my magazine together, and was suitable for placing my images and texts on. As I had used this for my preliminary exercise , I wasn’t that familiar with the programme as I felt I hadn’t learned most of the functions, so it had taken me quite a while to know how to use all the different icons. Once I had got the hang of it, It was easy to use and access around college. Wordpress: As part of my research and planning it was suitable I had an online blog, to upload all my work onto. I was not familiar with using Wordpress, as using dashboard in particular was very hard and technical. Once I knew how to add new posts, and locate them into the chosen categories and place them onto the menu, it was very simple and quick. I would definitely use Wordpress again as it is quick and easy, and useful to write in a written blog format.

  3. Google: Was a useful programme to use as it was suitable for researching the background information about Gwen stefani and finding out about the different publishers such as Bauer and FuturePLC. A digital SLR camera was rented In order for my shoot to take place. I was familiar with using the camera and changing the aperture and white balance. I had to make sure my images was taken portrait and taken from the face to the waist down. The lighting was important as no shadows was to be reflected.
