  3. What does 7 represent? • Completion or perfection. • Signifying that the compiling of the Bible is finished with this book. • Gén 2:1, 2 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work…

  4. Current World Events

  5. Should we study this Book?

  6. Read, hear, keep • Rev 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

  7. Unsealed Book • Rev 22:10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

  8. Isaiah 29:11-13 • And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:

  9. Isaiah 29:11-13 • And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.

  10. Isaiah 29:11-13 • Isa 29:13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

  11. God’s last love letter • Shall we leave it unopened? • Shall we say His manner of speaking is incomprehensible? • If we are in love with Him we would certainly not be saying that.

  12. Mark 7:7 • Well hath Esaias prophesied … “This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.” Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

  13. Mark 7:7 • Mark 7:9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

  14. How it came to us? Rev 1:1

  15. From one to the other… • Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

  16. From one to the other… • God gave it to Jesus… • Jesus gave it to the angel… • The angel gave it to John… • John wrote it down for us, (Rev 1:19) • We are to read it… • Hear it… • Keep it…

  17. Why it came to us? Rev 1:1

  18. “Must shortly” • It reveals “things which must shortly come to pass.” • And it declares an urgency “for the time is at hand.”

  19. So that we may know Him • John 13:19 Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he. • Isa 46:9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,

  20. MY Signature • Isa 46:9, 10 I am God, there is none like me…Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: • Isa 46:11 Yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.

  21. That we may not be led astray • Mar 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. • Mar 13:23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

  22. How to understand it? Rev 1

  23. Typical Parable • Luke 8:5 A sower went out to sow his seed: • He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. Luke 8:8

  24. Response of True Disciples • Luc 8:9 And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?

  25. Jesus’ Response will be: • Luc 8:10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

  26. He will explain each part… • Luke 8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. • Luke 8:12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

  27. Same structure in Revelation • Revelation 1:13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, • Apo 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars:

  28. Same structure in Revelation • Apo 1:20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

  29. Structure

  30. Rev 22:7 • Blessed are they that do his commandments..

  31. Blessed is he that keepeth the words of this prophecy.. Rev 22:7
