Why a strategic review? • Undertaking the Library Review is in part due diligence • It is something we should simply do as we move forward • The Provost, President & 6th Decade Plan all call for such reviews • Integrating and dovetailing our work with multi-year planning now underway across campus

  5. The Library Review will include at a minimum • Engagement with all Library staff • Engagement with Library stakeholders • A scan of the current environment • Aligning our resources with our strategic directions • Ensuring the current campus “integrated planning and budget” review process is taken into account • A review and identification of appropriate impact, outcome and assessment measures

  6. In brief, this is: • Due diligence • Engaging with each other • Engaging with our users • Building on strengths • Strategic & forward looking

  7. In brief, it is not: • A cost-cutting exercise • Operationally focused • Meant to address all issues • Our sole focus

  17. Inventory of activities & services Library Self Study • Managers and Committee Chairs will: • Draw from: e.g. job descriptions, pandemic reports, Library Report for Senate for Sixth Decade Plan • Solicit feedback from staff • Complete in October, before facilitated discussion
