Goals – Review Lyric analysis outline guidelines. Review Toulmin Model. Practice some strategies for using text based evidence in your writing. Homework – Work on slide shows or outlines. Don’t forget vocab. #27 Friday.

  2. English 10 - 4/8/14 • Listen to Emotional Weather Report do a free write and a web. • Health is simply the slowest possible rate that one can die. • Campanologist – one skilled at bell ringing. Goals – Write an evidence based on demand essay about the song. Homework – None.

  3. English 10 - 4/9/14 • What is the big idea of your song? Is there some value that others might not see? Why should we listen to it? • It’s not the pace of life that concerns me, it’s the sudden stop at the end. • Camoufleur – Person skilled in the use or application of camouflage. Goals – Complete the outline for your presentation first then work on final touches to your Lyric PowerPoint. Homework – none.

How much is about the words and how much about the sound of the music? • Time may be a great healer, but it’s a lousy beautician. • Astrologaster – a lying or deceitful astrologer. Goals – Put the final touches on your Lyric Powerpoints. Homework – none.

  5. English 10 - 4/11/14 • Five minutes to prepare for Vocab. #27 • The early bird gets the worm, but it’s the second mouse that gets the cheese. • Videot – a person that will watch anything on TV. Goals – Complete Vocabulary #27. Then present songs. Homework – none.
